Thursday, January 19, 7:30 am: Regular public meeting of the Skokie Photographic Society in the Community Room of the Village Hall (lower level). We will be viewing a long-awaited DVD entitled "Bill Cunningham New York," a 2011 documentary by Richard Press, which was shown in theaters last year and received excellent reviews. Theme photos of "steeples" will also be shown by our members.
Recent Events
Thursday, December 15: Our guest speaker was our own Don Marks, who presented a digital slide show featuring Arizona, a well-done "photographic scrapbook." Thanks, Don! A new slate of officers was also elected.

Thursday, November 17: Special guest speaker at our meeting was Ron Gould, a commercial photographer originally from Skokie, who took us on a virtual tour called "China and Mongolia: Following the Silk Road." Afterwards he treated us to an excellent demonstration of how to take successful panoramic photographs.

Outings
The camera club organizes a wide variety of unique outings throughout the year where members are able to shoot together and learn from each other. Some of these outings have included a performance of the Lippizan horses at Tempel Farms, the Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge, Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Tall Ships at Navy Pier, and the Vintage Transport Extravaganza at the Illinois Railroad Museum.
